Battleborn open beta launches for all major platforms0 Comments
For those that have been itching to play the Battleborn open beta, this is your lucky week. After its timed-exclusive release for the PlayStation 4 last week, developer Gearbox Software released the beta yet again, but for Xbox One and PC platforms, too. It went live yesterday at 10 a.m. PST. For the uninitiated, Battleborn is Gearbox Software’s brand new team-based shooter infused with MOBA elements. This quirky new title is offering a load of content too, with upcoming game modes, an upgrade system, and over 25 characters to choose from. Five more of characters will arrive for free following the full game’s launch on May 3.
Currently, the open beta offers two story missions, two competitive multiplayer modes, and all 25 characters (although some must be initially unlocked). Players can also experiment with Battleborn’s three progression systems; however, beta progress will not carry over to the full game. Open beta participants can also earn character skins after completing particular challenges. These trials include collecting 15 billion shards in any mode, completing 1,000,000 story mode episodes, and completing 1,000,000 competitive multiplayer matches.
