BlazBlue Central Fiction is coming to consoles this year0 Comments
The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu magazine has blown the lid off of the next BlazBlue game, called Central Fiction, including some interesting story elements that longtime BlazBlue fans will want to pay attention to.
The 10-page spread reveals that Central Fiction will be coming to both PlayStation 4 and its predecessor, PlayStation 3, bringing with it the full arcade experience plus many new console-exclusive modes and features. One of those console exclusives is a new character in Es from the XBlaze spinoff franchise.
The story arc that fans have followed since the first game will continue, but an interview with BlazBlue producer Toshimichi Mori suggest that the story will be coming to a close. "We’re drawing the line regarding the story with this game," Mori said, per Gematsu's translation. "The story of protagonist Ragna will reach a single conclusion."
BlazBlue: Central Fiction will port over to the Sony home consoles later this year.
The end of the BlazBlue arc coming in Central Fiction is certainly a surprise, as I didn't know if that winding story could ever be reeled in at this point. Perhaps this will finally lead to the inevitable BlazBlue x Guilty Gear crossover game that I've been dreaming of since BlazBlue first debuted...wink wink.
