Corpse Party 3DS limited edition up for pre-order0 Comments
Corpse Party may be one of the more overlooked portable horror series out there. This game focuses around a group of high school students who end up getting involved in a really dangerous ritual. Somehow, the group goes and gets themselves transported into an alternate reality elementary school filled with deadly ghosts. Although the game features cute retro RPG-style graphics, it manages to be utterly terrifying.
English-speaking fans first got their taste of Corpse Party on PlayStation Portable in 2011. This game is now being brought back as a remastered Nintendo 3DS release. That means it includes upgraded character sprites as well as four new Extra Chapters. The upcoming release also includes a limited edition known as the Corpse Party: Back to School Edition.
Here's what you can expect to get with that edition: Two high-quality miniature figurines (one of Naomi Nakashima and Seiko Shinohara) and a close to 80-minute long soundtrack CD. It's worth noting that this CD does not cover the same songs that were previously released in the "Songs of the Dead" soundtrack compilation. Also, three of the tracks are brand new to the 3DS edition of Corpse Party.
Picking up the Corpse Party: Back to School Edition version (currently available for pre-order on Amazon) will set you back $49.99. However, those with Amazon Prime accounts will be able to take 20% off the list price which means you'll be putting down $39.99 instead. Of course, Corpse Party is also coming to the 3DS eShop for $29.99.
