Don't Starve: Shipwrecked taking a trip to consoles0 Comments
Don't Starve is a tremendously fun exploration and survival-based title which has hooked many gamers since its initial release years ago. Since then, they've provided a handful of new content to keep giving players new things to do. The latest in this line of updates is the Don't Starve: Shipwrecked expansion. Those playing on PC first gained access to this in December as an Early Access build on Steam. The same didn't hold true for console players.
Fortunately, the tide has finally changed. The DLC is set to make its way to both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players in the near future. Unfortunately, they haven't revealed an exact release date yet. So, what the heck is Don't Starve: Shipwrecked? It basically takes that core survival gameplay and throws in the ability to explore by boat. Of course, this comes with many new dangers in the forms of creatures and bosses. There's also new biomes to discover beyond the origin landmass. All in all, the expansion increases the scope of the game in smart ways.
Don't Starve: Shipwrecked will cost $4.99 for Don't Starve fans, regardless of the console they choose to buy it on. This is the same as the DLC's Steam price. It's worth noting that another upgrade, Don't Starve Together, is also planned for PS4 release later this year. We don't yet know if and when it's heading to Xbox One.
