Final Fantasy XV gets its own high-end clothing line complete with surprising price tags0 Comments
Final Fantasy has a long history of appealing to gamer interests. Over the years, the series has adopted better graphics, implemented more involved battle systems, and even produced a few movies across the many varied degrees of established canon. Given decades of this relatively lavish treatment, maybe it should be no surprise to fans that they can now purchase officially-licensed clothing based on outfits worn by characters in the upcoming Final Fantasy XV. In that case, the real surprise would be that entire outfits potentially cost into the thousands.
Designed by Japanese fashion designer Roen, the clothing is made with loads of leather and dabbles of denim, and the corresponding combinations look remarkably similar to the outfits worn by the game's characters. Prepare your finances ahead of time, though, as individual bits range in price from $28 dollars for a pair of socks up to $818 for a pair of pants — the leather vest seen above costs 237,600 yen, or roughly $2,117.
Such adornments might seem esoteric by traditional gamer values, but it's easy to see how the right consumer might be thrilled at the opportunity to dress up as a game character, especially considering that the real-world and in-game outfits are both designed by the same person. As to whether or not much of it actually sells is yet to be seen, but interested parties with respectable financial standings can see if some of the pieces suit their fancy over at the Roen Final Fantasy XV website.
