Final Stand DLC for Battlefield 4 is now free on all platforms0 Comments
First-person shooter titles may be criticized as having fairly repetitive gameplay, but the occasional drop of DLC certainly helps keep the experience fresh. Battlefield 4 fans were treated to the Final Stand DLC way back in November of 2014, but perhaps not everyone was ready to drop their $15 bucks for some new maps and weapons. Luckily, now they won't have to, as Electronic Arts have announced that the Final Stand DLC is now free across all platforms for a limited time.
The content pack includes four maps: Operation Whiteout, Hammerhead, Giants of Karelia, and Hangar 21. It also includes new weapons, like the Rorsch Mk-1 and Phantom, as well as new gadgets, like the XD-1 Accipiter, a machine gun-equipped remote-controlled drone.
This bit of generosity is part of EA's "Road to Battlefield 1" campaign, which ought to be in players' recent memories as the reason behind the free giveaway of the Battlefield 4 Dragon's Teeth expansion, a promotion which ended on May 10. Like that freebie, the Final Stand giveaway will eventually draw to a close, this time on May 24. There may also be more free content on the way, with giveaways potentially leading right up to the anticipated October release date of Battlefield 1. Be sure to stay tuned for more details.
