Gears of War 4 pricey special editions unveiled0 Comments
Are you starting to get hyped for Gears of War 4? The game is just a few months away now and Microsoft are hoping to lure in series fans with two special editions. Of course, the standard version of Gears of War 4 will only set you back $60, but that does not include any extra content or the also newly-announced season pass. If you're looking to net the pass in addition to game you'll probably want to get the Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition.
This is because the season pass itself is listed at a $50 value, while the Ultimate Edition offers a bundle price of $10 cheaper at $100. For reference, the season pass includes a handful of "vintage" character and weapon skins, six gear packs, and an "early access" playlist to try out upcoming modes and maps before everyone else gets them. Of course, you'll also nab a great deal of maps. They estimate 24+ maps are guaranteed for the coming twelve month period. Finally, the Ultimate Edition grants access to Gears of War 4 on October 7, which is four days before the official launch.
If you're a fan of figures - and spending money - then you may opt for the Gears of War 4: Collector's Edition. This comes with everything from the Ultimate Edition and then some. There's a frag grenade keychain, exclusive lithograph, and a JD Fenix figure sitting on a COG bike. Interestingly, there is even a variant of the figure which you can opt for. The figure measures 19 inches in length and 11 in height. That edition will cost a much heftier $250.
All editions are available via Amazon.com right now in advance of the October 11 release date for Gears of War 4.
