Indie thriller Oxenfree coming to PlayStation 40 Comments
If you haven't played Oxenfree yet, you might want to wait until May 31, when the game lands on PlayStation 4. The console version of Oxenfree launches with some brand new features exclusive to the PlayStation 4. After beating the game once, players will have access to a New Game+ mode that continues the protagonist Alex's story, offering new locations, dialogue options, and endings. The new version also makes use of the DualShock 4 controller, serving as the game's supernatural radio and making use of the light bar and controller speaker.
Oxenfree was released in January, and is Night School Studio's first game. A tribute to '90s thriller films, Oxenfree tells the story of Alex, who brings her step brother Jonas to an island party where, as you can probably expect, things go terribly wrong. Much of the story is told through branching dialogue and decision trees, and the game foregoes cutscenes to keep the player engaged.
