Insomniac has two new virtual reality games in development0 Comments
Insomniac Games, the legendary studio behind Spyro the Dragon and Ratchet and Clank, recently announced two new virtual reality titles they currently have in development. The prolific studio has partnered with Oculus Studios to bring these new games exclusively to the Oculus Rift VR headset.
The first game, Feral Rites, requires the player to avenge the death of their father through completing difficult tasks all over an island. Billed as an “adventure-brawler,” this game will feature a lot of exploration, a combo-based battle system, and gear that will allow you to customize your male or female player character. Feral Rites is scheduled to release this fall.
Insomniac also announced The Unspoken, a virtual spellcasting game that will pit players against one another in a magical duel. The game will utilize Oculus Touch controls, allowing players to move their arms in order to cast spells. The game will feature diverse urban arenas and over 25 spells. Among these are a spell that will summon a murder of crows or drawing with a marker to create an impenetrable shield. The Unspoken is due out this Holiday season.
