Let It Die teaser trailer is everything that's awesome about Suda510 Comments
Suda51’s development company, Grasshopper Manufacture, has released a final teaser trailer for its upcoming hack-and-slash game, Let It Die, ahead of its worldwide premiere at PAX East this weekend. Not much is known about the gameplay for Let It Die yet, but this trailer shows off some gruesome and over-the-top action that will hopefully be just as gruesome when it transfers into gameplay.
Even without much to go on, looking at any of Goichi Suda’s previous projects will give you a pretty good idea of the vibrant art style which defines his work. Let It Die definitely has that same signature flare, characterized by a cel-shaded tapestry accented with vibrant cartoon-red blood splatter.
I'm pretty stoked to meet the cast of the game, who, from the final seconds of the teaser, look like a stylish, badass group of individuals. The enemies also have that characteristic horror flair that Suda's games are known for, and I bet it's going to be a blast carving them up in a ballet of carnage.
Let It Die will have its official reveal this weekend during PAX East, which will hopefully include a large gameplay demo so that we can get a full idea of what to expect. I'm a little skeptical because of the fact Let It Die is going to follow a free-to-play system, but this isn't to say that it's going to be a pay-to-win. Hopefully we'll get a better idea of the microtransactions that are likely to be present in the game in the following weeks.
