Metroid Prime: Federation Force coming in August0 Comments
Do you remember E3 2015? It was there that Metroid Prime: Federation Force was first unveiled by Nintendo as a new multiplayer-focused title exclusively for Nintendo 3DS. Many fans were shocked by this reveal, as it has been years since a proper Metroid Prime game. Unfortunately for Nintendo, a fair number of fans balked at this new direction for the series and even set up a petition against it.
As with most gaming online petitions, this one failed to change Nintendo's mind. Metroid Prime: Federation Force is still coming, and in fact is not that far away from release. Both Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe have revealed that the title is launching on August 19 in North America and September 2 for Europe. What about Japan? Actually, the game was originally announced for June 25 but was then delayed up until August 25.
Nintendo helped to generate excitement for the impending release date of Metroid Prime: Federation Force by bringing the game to PAX East over the weekend. There they set up booths to get four players working alongside each other to kick some butt. While opinions were mostly positive, fans still remain wary about the upcoming title.
Metroid Prime: Federation Force is also set to include a bonus game/tutorial in the form of Metroid Prime: Blast Ball. This was first announced simply as Blast Ball and played during the 2015 Nintendo World Championship. The sports-styled game was originally viewed far less critically before getting the name Metroid plastered on.
