New Deus Ex Mankind Divided trailer teaches us Deus Ex 101
0 CommentsA brand new trailer for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has dropped, showing off over six minutes of new footage while filling us in on what to expect during Adam Jensen's fight against the Illuminati.
The video touches on every facet of the upcoming game, from story beats to weapon upgrades and enhanced hacking capabilities. A few examples of Jensen's arsenal are the explosive arm blades he can shoot at unsuspecting enemies and an electric pulse weapon that can incapacitiate foes instead of killing them. Particularly interesting is Talos Rucker, leader of a group of augmented terrorists that can be persuaded to turn himself in should Jensen not kill any of his soldiers.
As Square Enix describes it: "narrated by Adam Jensen, this trailer takes the form of a short investigation, showcasing brand new footage of Adam’s apartment and new locations in Europe, including Prague. You’ll learn more about Adam Jensen’s improved augmentations, which help to enhance his infiltration, combat, and hacking capabilities. Additional insights into the storyline will be revealed, and you’ll also discover both old and new acquaintances, all of which have their own agendas."
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided launches August 23 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Apparently I wasn't anticipating Mankind Divided enough, because this trailer has me nearly frothing at the mouth. This video has everything I need to get ready for the game, though it makes that recent delay to August sting that much more. I'm looking forward to teaming up with Adam Jensen again, so long as it doesn't get delayed again.
