Persona 5 Japanese release date announced, new trailer shown0 Comments
There are many great titles coming out this year, but there’s one particular game that’s gone relatively silent: Persona 5. Well, fans are in luck, because this morning, Atlus announced that the title will launch on September 15 in Japan. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been a confirmation for the release date of other regions yet. In usual Atlus fashion, the announcement of the title’s release date was accompanied with a badass new trailer that is sure to whet anyone’s appetite. The video consists of animated vignettes, gameplay footage, and some cutscenes to boot. However, keep in mind that the trailer is recorded in Japanese.
If there’s one thing the trailer confirms, it’s that Persona 5 will be a massive title with a variety of places to explore. Although the main cast is placed within a high-school setting, it surely doesn’t seem like it when they embark on their nightly adventures. The combat is the most stylish I’ve ever seen, especially at the 3:02 mark, where a female marksman character pulls off an incredible kill move by shooting the demons and casually enjoying tea afterwards. Whenever the JRPG does come westward, it will be for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 consoles. Personally, I can’t wait to get my hands on Persona 5, as it looks like it’s shaping up to the best in the entire series.
