Platinum Games CEO Tatsuya Minami resigns0 Comments
Tatsuya Minami has stepped down as president of Platinum Games. According to the studio, Minami left the studio late last March, and his position has now been filled by Kenichi Sato. Minami co-founded Platinum Games, one of Japan's most prolific development studios.
Before his work at Platinum Games, Minami had an impressive career at Capcom, working on games like Resident Evil, Mega Man Legends, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Minami founded the team in 2007 after his company, ODD, joined with Seeds Inc. The team consists of a group of well-known developers, including Hideki Kamiya (Resident Evil, Devil May Cry). Platinum Games is well-known for its work on Bayonetta, Bayonetta 2, and Scalebound. The team has just concluded development on Star Fox Zero and Star Fox Guard and is now at work on a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles project for Activision. Platinum Games celebrates its 10th anniversary later this year.
