Registration for Sony's PlayStation E3 Experience is now open0 Comments
Let's face it — attending E3 isn't exactly a simple experience. Even without overt complications like travel and hotel expenses, trying to see everything of interest on the showroom floor is a difficult task. Perhaps that's why Sony first dreamed up their "PlayStation E3 Experience," where game fans unable to attend the annual expo can stroll down to their local movie theater and watch a live stream of Sony's briefing.
It was a unique idea at the time, but it seems to have paid off, and Sony have announced that they're bringing the event back for its third year in a row. As announced via the PlayStation.Blog, PlayStation fans will be able to catch Sony's E3 press conference live at one of 85 participating theaters across the United States, Canada, and Latin America. Tickets are free, and can be secured through registration over at the E3 Experience website.
Though the show is largely a novel way to experience the streaming feed that many fans watch at home, Sony have announced that they'll be offering a special commemorative cup as well as card #37 from the PlayStation Collectible Card series to E3 Experience attendees. They've also teased the availability of a "digital gift basket," but so far remain tight-lipped about what content might be included therein.
The show is set to kick off on Monday, June 13 at 6:00PM Pacific Time and will conclude two hours later. For the full list of participating theaters, head over to the PlayStation.Blog.
