Resident Evil 5 re-release hitting current-gen consoles next month0 Comments
For anyone that might have missed the game when it first launched in March of 2009, Capcom have announced that the re-release of their third-person shooter title Resident Evil 5 is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next month.
The new version of the title will be sporting the usual modern re-release credentials, including a 1080p resolution and improved frame rate. It will also include all of the game's DLC, including the story add-ons Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape.
Fans of the game's multiplayer will likely find much to like, as the updated version will include The Mercenaries United gameplay mode with all characters unlocked right from the start. It will also include the previously PC-exclusive No Mercy gameplay mode, which is fairly similar to the traditional Mercenaries mode save for the vast increase in enemies thrown at the player.
The re-release of Resident Evil 5 is part of Capcom's plans to release the newer mainline titles in the game for modern consoles. Resident Evil 6 was released back in March for $20, and it's likely that Resident Evil 5 will be priced similarly when it hits digital storefronts on June 28.
