Rumor: No Man's Sky is being delayed0 Comments
Delayed releases are a common occurrence in this generation of gaming, and that's been proven to be especially true when developers set lofty goals for themselves. And, as lofty goals go, No Man's Sky is in a class of its own. Perhaps it should be no surprise, then, that word has arrived claiming that the game's previously-announced June 2016 release date is being pushed back an undisclosed amount of time.
While the exact sources in this matter haven't been named, both Kotaku and TechRadar have had the information confirmed from multiple parties. Kotaku in particular heard about the delay from an informant working for GameStop, who provided an image of a business communication advising employees that the stated release of the game has been changed since the store's promotional materials had been printed.
The information certainly seems sound, and, honestly, pushing back the release date of such an ambitious game will likely come as a surprise to no one. Either way, assuming the information is true, we should expect to hear an official word from Sony or developer Hello Games fairly soon.
