Skullgirls 2nd Encore hits Steam this Wednesday0 Comments
Skullgirls might just be one of the best independently-produced fighters out there these days. Its uniqueness has carried the title far, earning the adoration of many fans. Skullgirls came to consoles a few years back after arriving on PC, but unfortunately there were some issues. In 2013, publisher Konami ended up delisting the title from both Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. This was what drove the creation and eventual release of Skullgirls Encore on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
More recently, Skullgirls 2nd Encore made the rounds on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. This was an enhanced upgrade of the previous Skullgirls Encore. However, because of the history of these releases to begin with, they sat as exclusive to these Sony platforms. Of course, PC fans started to speak up because there were a variety of brand new features in that version.
New modes included challenges, trials, and survival mode, alongside a fully-voiced story mode. It also came packed with each DLC character from the get go. Steam owners will finally be able to get their hands on Skullgirls 2nd Encore very soon. The package is set to sell as a DLC add-on to Skullgirls on April 13. During launch week you'll be able to snap up a copy for just $10, while the regular price is set at $15. Those who already own the DLC characters are not going to nab any additional discount, however.
