Some players of The Division locked out of their accounts for over a week, Ubisoft creating patch0 Comments
Recently, some players of Tom Clancy’s The Division have been experiencing a bug that causes the game to continuously load, locking them out of their accounts. Ubisoft community manager, Natchai Stappers, took to the game’s official forums to gather information and assure players that Ubisoft has prioritized the release of a patch fixing the issue.
Since the original posting and thanks to community input, Ubisoft has identified the cause of this game breaking bug — it seems to occur after players craft a high-level backpack. They have announced that they will be releasing a patch to fix the issue on April 12. The patch will be part of the game’s 1.1 update and would have been scheduled to release sooner, if not for a necessary client patch. In the meantime, the developer suggests that players do not attach mods to items that they are not currently using.
This bug is not the first that The Division has experienced. According to the thread on the Ubisoft forums, many players have also reported items missing from their inventories recently, and many people experiencing this bug have been locked out of their accounts for over a week.
Hopefully, the new patch coming on April 12 will fix these issues adequately.
