Ubisoft picks a date for its E3 2016 media briefing0 Comments
The E3 news blitz is slowly getting closer and all of the major industry players are setting their calendars for the big media briefings. Ubisoft is the latest to let us know, as the publisher has set June 13 as its presentation date.
The Ubisoft E3 2016 Media Briefing will specifically take place at 1PM Pacific time on Monday June 13, a few short hours after Microsoft kicks off E3 Monday. The announcement was made via Twitter on Ubisoft's main account, featuring a picture teaser and the words "The countdown is on! UbiE3 is coming..."
Ubisoft hasn't dropped any more details about the presentation, but we already know of a few games that will likely make a major appearance. Watch Dogs 2 has been confirmed in development even though we haven't seen anything on it yet, while For Honor and South Park: The Fractured But Whole both appeared at Ubi's E3 2015 briefing and should make a return this year.
I think this is rather obvious — the 17 previews I did for this very website last year say as much — but I absolutely love E3 season. It's a celebration of our industry, a full week of new game announcements and news that comes at me from every angle, and I just can't get enough of it. Hopefully E3 2016 will be another banner year, and Ubisoft should be one of the names leading the charge.
