Umbrella Corps has been delayed until late June0 Comments
It's really no secret that Resident Evil has changed a lot since the series' inception in the mid 1990s. Some (or most) may not care for the more recent RE titles, generally because they don't offer much in the way of either survival or horror, nor even really zombies for that matter. Still, there are plenty of players who enjoy the faster-paced action, most likely reared on stuff like Resident Evil 5's frantic Mercenaries mode.
That kind of player is likely exactly the type who would be looking forward to Umbrella Corps, the upcoming competitive online title set in the complex Resident Evil universe. Slightly bad news, though — Umbrella Corps had been set for a May release, but according to a recent announcement from Capcom detailing the game's customization options, it's being pushed back to June 21.
The given reasoning for the delay is the usual fare — the team wants to make sure everything is running nice and tidy. Judging from the available videos of the game, it certainly looks to be running smoothly enough, but extra refinement is always welcomed. Players who enjoy more action-focused Resident Evil titles ought to find plenty to enjoy with the game, particularly the low $29.99 price tag. Xbox fans will be out of the loop, though, as Umbrella Corps is currently only planned as a digital download for PC and PlayStation 4.
